By the time he reached high school, he had been banned from the sport because he had accidentally injured so many people with his superhuman strength. He didn't mind though, he didn't like hurting people. From then on he decided to use his strength for good. He fights crime and keeps the city of Columbus safe. He has recently acquired a new hobby: planning events where both Jr. and Sr. High students can come together and learn. He has one such event planned for CLC this December. |  |

Favorite Way to Get Around: Flying Personal History: Captain Awesome was the best of five children. Everything he did was in two words...Awesome. He was awarded "Most Likely to Succeed," "Most Handsome," and "Mr. Congeniality." Not to mention that he was Prom and Homecoming King, and Captain of the football, basketball, and tennis teams. On the day he graduated from high school, two men in suits gave him a letter. Inside the letter an invitation to attend the "Amazing Academy for the Awesome," also known as the "AAA." At his AAA orientation he was given a cloak of invisibility that, he later discovered, also gave him the ability to fly. At the AAA, he quickly distinguished himself as the most awesome of the awesome, earning him the nickname "Captain Awesome." |  |

Person He Most Admires: The creator of dodgeball. Personal History: Destructo has loved dodgeball since the first time he held a dodgeball. He loves the aggression, intensity, and agility needed to play the sport. While playing at a tournament with his college team, Destructo was struck in the head by a dodgeball that knocked him out cold. He woke up after a tense 30 seconds feeling fine. No, better than fine. He felt FANTASTIC. He was stronger and faster than he had been before. He was unstoppable on the court. He had a cannon for an arm and no one could hit him no matter how hard they tried. He single-handedly won the tournament and every tournament he played after that. He sponsors dodgeball tournaments around the country, including on taking place in Dayton this spring. |  |

Grant (his great grandfather) Quote: "I Want YOU!" Personal History: The Colonel was born into a military family sometime in the early 1940s. His real name is unknown. His relatives have fought in every major U.S. battle. Little is known about the Colonel's early childhood, but sometime around the age of nine he realized that he wasn't like everyone else. He didn't realize that other people couldn't see through walls and behind closed doors. He vowed to use his hidden power for good, and has always kept it a secret. He uses his power to keep an eye on what people do with their lives. He has always encouraged his friends to use their time wisely. When the Colonel turned eighteen, he joined the military. he quickly rose through the ranks and became a Colonel. At this point, everyone stopped using his given name and began to refer to him exclusively as "The Colonel." He also realized that he continues to grow older, but never looks it. He recently retired and spends his time motivating students to use their lives to positively affect others. He uses his youthful appearance to connect with students and his x-ray vision to keep tabs on them. he loves stretching students and helping them lead their classmates. Favorite Way to Get Around: Flying Person They Admire Most: Captain Planet and Jacques Cousteau Personal History: Hydro and Fuego are twins born into a family of super heroes. Even though they are twins, they are complete opposites. When Fuego was young, he loved starting fires. His parents couldn't figure out how he did it until they saw him shoot a fireball out of his hand onto a pile of dry wood. Hydro has never used his power frivolously. He only uses it for good, like the time he saved a whole school of extremely rare fish from dying in a dried up lake. Fuego is flashy and outgoing. He loves showing off his fire making skills while Hydro is much more reserved. Both brothers can fly and summon their respective elements at will. Fuego enjoys being the center of attention, but Hydro is all about quiet commitment. Fuego uses his fame to sponsor retreats for Jr. Highers, like the one happening this spring at Heartland. He specializes in reaching out to others and helping them reach even further. He climbed Mt. everest twice by the age of fifteen. He has sky-dived into the Grand Canyon, crossed the Sahara, visited both the North and South Poles, and swam the English Channel twice in one day. He has also taken mission trips to China, Africa, and the Galapagos Islands. When is is not out adventuring, he is in his hometown helping the community. Personal History: Infotron was born in Boston, not far from Harvard where his parents were professors in the Communications Department. The instilled a love of knowledge in him from an early age, resulting in him being a genius. He graduated from high school at the age of 15, and graduated the top of his class from MIT. He wrote over a fifth of the information on the Internet and is called on from people all over the world to solve complex problems. Favorite Way to Get Around: The Bus (so he can take all his friends) Quote: "Come one, come all!" Person He Admires Most: Mother Teresa Personal History: Mr. Invite was born to Ira and Gelina-Bell Smith. He was the youngest of four children by 23 years. No one could believe when his parents had him. All their other children were grown with families of their own! Mr. Invite never really felt welcome anywhere. He was so much younger than everyone in his family, and his hometown of Fremont, OH wasn't the most welcoming place in the world. He wasn't very popular in Jr. High and always felt like his presence anywhere was a burden. He never got invited to parties. During his final year of Jr. High, he was invited to a small church picnic that completely changed his life. No longer did he wait to get invited places, because he was too busy inviting other people to do things. By the time he was in Sr. High he brought so many people to church with him, he had earned the nickname "Mr. Invite." He was so persuasive, that it was almost impossible to turn down his invitations.
