Whether you are preparing for marraige, feel like you want to take your marriage to a deeper level, or just secure it, or if you are on the verge of marital disaster, there is probably a story here you can relate to.
"The Assessment revealed to us some common strengths that we may have known were there, but had never focused on as such. It also showed us some areas that could give us trouble if we don't pay attention to them. Our mentor couple was wonderful! They introduced us to and helped us to discuss issues that we just never thought of during our dating period." - an engaged couple
A couple who had already filed divorce papers, voluntarily went through the Assistance Mentoring as a last ditch effort and to satisfy friends. Now they have withdrawn their papers and gave the mentoring process the credit. "We thought our marriage had no hope left! The determination of our mentor couple, their belief in us, their prayers, and scriptural guidance has absolutely saved our marriage. We are so thankful!" - a previously troubled couple
A couple had been in a deeply "hateful", "cruel", and "bitter" situation for well over a year before trying our church's Assistance Mentoring Program. Both wanted at least, separation, at most, divorce, but stayed in the same house without either because of their one year old child. They had been in separate bedrooms and no sexual relationship for nearly a year. Now after two mentor couples, one of them a second time, this couple is back again to peace, expressing love and affection for one another, and back into the same bedroom! They give 100% of the credit to the long-term, selfless, refusal to give up, attitude of their mentor couple, whom they describe as "awesome." - one couple's story
"Talking to an imperfect couple who shared their experiences of the same kind of problems that we feel we could face, was very helpful to us. We are very open to new things and want to have a successful marriage. We are very thankful to have gone through the program before our marriage." - an engaged couple
"They understood our situation and were willing to give up their time to be with us. We like that they were a blended couple and therefore had some of the "same" situations we did. Using the Bible as a resource, for me being a new Christian, has helped me relate the Bible's principles to our marriage and gave us strength. The mentoring brought us closer in many ways." This couple had formally filed divorce papers before submitting to mentoring and are now happily reconciled. - a couple from a blended family
