Angel Tree Mentoring
When mom or dad goes to prison often their children are in prison too; a prison of abandonment and shame.
You may have already blessed these children through Angel Tree Christmas or Angel Tree Camping. If so, thank you, but these programs are just the beginning and touch a child’s life only a few days at a time. Angel Tree Mentoring takes love and care to build a lasting relationship that will improve attitudes, mold character and offer the opportunity to introduce them to a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Year-round mentoring provides prisoners' kids the role models and caring adults they need to
strengthen their character and deepen their faith.
Angel Tree Mentoring empowers and equips mentors to meet the needs of children who have incarcerated parents. These children need sustained friendship, encouragement and practical support throughout the year.
The children of prisoners are five to six times more likely than other children to become incarcerated themselves. Lowering this number can be a result of the accountability and encouragement found within
caring, enduring relationships. Mentoring with year-round involvement has proven to change the lives of not only the children but the surrounding family as well.
In Matthew 18:5 Jesus said, "Whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me." Through Angel Tree, you can welcome children into your heart as if you were welcoming Jesus Himself.
